HOW TO: Create .htaccess via cPanel's File Manager

The .htaccess file commonly located in every public_html folder but remain hidden. If your account does not have the .htaccess or was deleted by mistake, you still can recreate it.
1) Login to the cPanel via https://domainname.com/cpanel and go to the File Manager
2) Click to Create a New File
3) Type ".htaccess" and click Create New File
4) Since . (dot) files are hidden by default, so we need to enable to show hidden files by bringing the mouse to the top-right of the screen and click Setting
5) Finally, click the "Show Hidden Files" in order for it to be visible
6) Right-click on the .htaccess file and click Edit. Happy editing | |
